Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire: Training of Trainers Seminar
"Prevention against early pregnancy and support for underage girls", the central theme of the seminar, took place from February 4-8, 2019. The reflection was based on the EVA program (education on life and love).
Participants came from Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, Mali, Sierra Leone and Togo. Our association is open to all religions, and we were pleased to receive Muslims and Protestants in attendance.
Upon conclusion of our work, the following commitments were summarized:
1. Organize training seminars for parents, educators and young people in their respective countries in an ecumenical approach wherever possible.
2. Create ACISJF-Africa listening and information cells for young people and parents in the West Africa region.
3. Advocate for inclusion of the VAS program in the West Africa region's educational community (parents, faith-based education systems, public and private).
4. Solicit extensively for qualified support from other structures and movements of Catholic associations, other denominations, and states, to help integrate the EVA training program in the West Africa region.
